Robert Ruvolo, M.D.

Robert P. Ruvolo, MD is the newest member of the Rose Radiology group mainly based at the Rose Radiology Center on Kennedy in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Ruvolo is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and has special skills in body imaging including MRI, CT scanning, ultrasound, and plain film radiology.

Dr. Ruvolo graduated with a B.S. in mathematics from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He then attended the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico and subsequently completed a pre-internship at Booth Memorial Center, a New York University affiliate in Queens, New York. He then completed a year of internship in internal medicine at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Ruvolo worked at Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Medical Center (a Columbia University affiliate) in New York, New York while fulfilling his diagnostic radiology residency. He proceeded to complete a body imaging fellowship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans at Charity Hospital. After completing his training, Dr. Ruvolo began working in Brooklyn, New York and then was Chief of Radiology at Pelham Bay Hospital in Bronx, New York.

Dr. Ruvolo then decided to move to Florida and began work at UCH Carrollwood and at Tower Diagnostic Center. From that point on Dr. Ruvolo worked for several outpatient imaging centers in Sarasota and throughout the years has become proficient in his radiographic and imaging interpretations.

Dr. Ruvolo encourages personal contact with the physicians whether by phone conversation or through luncheon and dinner events. He is well liked within the communities where he has worked and is treated with the utmost respect by his peers, as well as many attorneys in the area.

His outside interests and spiritual development have greatly enhanced his communication skills, as well as his place within society.

Dr. Ruvolo is proud to have joined such a quality staff that Dr. Rose has put together and will continue to provide excellent interpretations of radiographic studies in a timely manner.
