JOEL SOKOLIK, M.D.
Dr. Sokolik is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology.
Dr. Sokolik, originally from St. Louis, Missouri, graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration with honors in Marketing. He then attended The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston to obtain his medical degree.
After completing medical school, he stayed at UTMB for his Radiology Residency, serving as Chief Resident. He continued his training the following year at The University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics doing a Neuroradiology fellowship. He later passed the examination to earn a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology and is currently a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.
Dr. Sokolik has practiced Radiology in the Tampa Bay area with the same group for the past 19 years. He hopes to bring the same strong patient care to Rose Radiology.
He is currently a member of the American College of Radiology, American Society of Neuroradiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Florida Radiological Society and the American Medical Association.
On a personal note, Dr. Sokolik is married to Vicki Sokolik and has two grown children. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Starting Right, Now, a nonprofit organization helping homeless students complete their high school education and achieve their highest level of potential, ending the cycle of homelessness.
