ROSE RADIOLOGY-EAST PASCO ADDS NEW HIGH-FIELD VASCULAR MRI AND DEXA

ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, January 3, 2005 - Rose Radiology announces the addition and full operation of the new Philips 1.5T Intera MRI, a State-of-the-Art High Field Vascular MRI. This MRI unit has superior imaging capability that is now available to the East Pasco and surrounding communities. This MRI compliments our current OPEN MRI, and can perform more advanced imaging such as VASCULAR MRI to include MR Angiograms of the Aorta, Renal and Lower extremity arteries, in addition to Pulmonary arteries and much more. In addition, to Vascular MR Angiograms, the new Intera MRI can perform MRCP’s, MR Myelograms and exquisite imaging of the Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis and small peripheral joints. The speed and quality of the imaging is unsurpassed in the entire Central and East Pasco area. Prior to introducing this new MRI, patients had to drive to Tampa for a high-quality Vascular MRI (MRA).

Rose Radiology-East Pasco is the only facility in the area offering both Open and High Field Vascular MRI at one location. This new Vascular MRI is the same state-of-the-art machine currently operating at the Boot Ranch (Palm Harbor) location.

Rose Radiology also announces that it is offering DEXA scanning for patients needing to be tested for possible osteoporosis or bone loss. The machine has been installed and is now operational. The East Pasco office is now accepting appointments for this new modality. Dr. Rose says, “As the East Pasco community grows with a retirement-age population, I see a growing need for local citizens to have quick and easy access to Bone Mineral Density studies. I expanded our office to appropriately fill this need.”
